ANNOUNCEMENT OF UB INDEPENDENT SELECTION 2020

Universitas Brawijaya Independent Admissions is an admission process that is organized independently by Universitas Brawijaya. The 2020 UB Independent Admissions consists of two types; Computer-Based Test Admission (Jalur UTBK) and Achievement Report Admission (Jalur Rapor).  Any candidate without any 2020 Computer-Based Test score should only apply through Achievement Report Admission. As for candidates with 2020 Computer-Based Test score are eligible to apply through both admission types.

Universitas Brawijaya Independent Admissions is an admission process that is organized independently by Universitas Brawijaya. Based on the results of discussions conducted by team of experts at UB in evaluating the development of the COVID-19 pandemic situation, mechanism of the 2020 UB Independent Admissions has been decided to be changed into 2020 Computer-Based Test score Admission as well as academic and non-academic achievements.

I. REQUIREMENTS

Applicants for the 2020 UB Independent Admissions must fulfill the following requirements:

  1. Indonesian citizen (WNI);
  2. Graduate of Senior High School/Vocational High School/Islamic High School (SMA/SMK/MA) or equivalent level from the years of 2018, 2019, and 2020;
  3. Holder of a National Student ID (NISN) and National School ID (NPSN);
  4. Registered as a participant and have taken the 2020 Computer-Based Test;
  5. Participants must fulfill health requirements and other specific requirements of each study program according to the information in the following link: https://selma.ub.ac.id/index-daftar-program-studi/

II. STUDY PROGRAM SELECTION

  1. The offered study programs consist of two groups which are the Science and Technology Group and the Social Studies and Humanities Group.
  2. Each applicant can only select a maximum of two study programs from the Science and Technology Group and the Social Studies and Humanities Group and fulfills the requirements of each study program.
  3. Participants who took a Natural Science Concentration in Senior High School/Vocational High School/Islamic High School are eligible to choose two study programs COMBINATION in which one study program is from the Science and Technology Group and another one is from the Social Studies and Humanities Group.
  4. The order of the study program selection determines the priority of selection.
  5. The offered study programs and the requirements of each study program can be seen in:
    1. Science and Technology (Kelompok SAINTEK)
    2. Social and Humanities (Kelompok SOSHUM)
  6. Participants choosing Fine Arts Study Program (Program Studi Seni Rupa Murni), are REQUIRED to upload a portofolio as follows:
    1. One narrative drawing drawn using black & white drawing technique following the stated themes/instructions.
    2. One shape/composition drawing drawn using color technique following the stated themes/instructions.
    3. One or two 2D works (such as sketches, drawings, illustrations, paintings) or 3D works (such as sculptures, ceramics, clay miniatures, character figures).
    4. All the works and other documents are arranged in a .PPT file with maximum size of 10 MB. Participants MUST use the available template for the Portofolio submission. Those not using the available template and document may be disqualified..

IV. REGISTRATION FEE

The registration fee for the 2020 UB Independent Selection is Rp. 350,000.00.

V. REGISTRATION MECHANISM

  1. Create an account on the page https://admisi.ub.ac.id;
  2. Select 2020 UB Independent Selection, Computer-Based Test Admission on the dashboard page;
  3. Fill in the data of the 2020 Computer-Based Test namely the Participant ID, NPSN, and NISN based on the 2020 Computer-Based Test data;
  4. Confirm to synchronize the Computer-Based Test data to obtain the payment code;
  5. The registration fee of 350,000.00 (three hundred fifty thousand rupiahs) is to be deposited at any Bank BRI, Bank Mandiri, or Bank BNI across Indonesia (through all methods of payment) by indicating the PAYMENT CODE;
  6. The registration fee that has been deposited at the bank cannot be returned for any reason. Please follow the respective payment methods::
    1. Payment by Bank BRI

    3. Payment by Bank BNI
  7. Confirm the payment and fill in the registration form on the page https://admisi.ub.ac.id;
  8. Select the desired study program based on the requirements in section II;
  9. Upload the following supporting documents for the registration:
    1. Personal photo according to requirements (personal photo based on Computer-Based Test data, applicant is allowed to change the photo if needed);
    2. ID Card (KTP)/Family Card (KK);
    3. Computer-Based Test Participant Card;
    4. Achievement certificates (3 best achievements) in the field of academics, sports, arts, and religion during Senior High School/Vocational High School/Islamic High School (if achievements are indicated on the achievement entry form)
      1. International Level (First Place, Second Place, Third Place, First Runner-Up, Second Runner-Up, Third Runner-Up, Participant)
      2. National Level (First Place, Second Place, Third Place, First Runner-Up, Second Runner-Up, Third Runner-Up, Participant)
      3. Regional/Provincial/City/Regency Level (First Place, Second Place, Third Place, First Runner-Up, Second Runner-Up, Third Runner-Up, Participant)
      4. Hafizh Al-Quran (5 Juz, 10 Juz, 20 Juz, 30 Juz)
  10. Agree to the statement of data entry and finalize the registration;
  11. Print out the admissions applicant card;
  12. Registration for admissions can only be performed once; after finalization is processed, the data cannot be changed and a new registration cannot be made. Please ensure that the data of 2020 Computer-Based Test are used for the admission registration. Please also check that data input for the registration form and all supporting documents are complete and correct.

Achievement Report Admission of Universitas Brawijaya Independent Admissions is an admission process that is organized independently by Universitas Brawijaya. The admission is conducted accordingly based on academic report scores as well as academic and non-academic achievements.

I. REQUIREMENTS

Applicants for the 2020 UB Independent Admissions must fulfill the following requirements:

  1. Indonesian citizen (WNI);
  2. Graduate of Senior High School/Vocational High School/Islamic High School (SMA/SMK/MA) or equivalent level from the years of 2018, 2019, and 2020;
    Graduates of SMA/SMK/MA or equivalent and Paket C from the years of 2018 and 2019 must already hold the graduate certificate;
    B. Graduates of SMA/SMK/MA or equivalent and Paket C from the year 2020 who have not held the graduate certificate are required to have a Notice of Graduation from Secondary Education and/or a Diploma. The Notice of Graduation must at least contains personal identity information and a recent color photo of the applicant, and is legalized by the school (with stamp on photo).
  3. Graduates of International Schools must have a Notice of Diploma Equivalency from the Ministry of Education and Culture;
  4. Holder of a National Student ID (NISN) and National School ID (NPSN);

  7. Enter data from academic report in the knowledge section with the following requirements:
    1. Scores for the subjects of Mathematics, Indonesian Language, and English Language, and average scores for subjects of the concentration or competence;
    2. ii. The entered scores are scores from three semesters with the following requirements:
      * For regular classes, upload academic report documents for Grade XI Semesters 1 and 2, and Grade XII Semester 1 (Semesters 3, 4, and 5)
      * For accelerated classes of 4 semesters, upload academic report documents for Grade X Semester 1 and 2, and Grade XI Semester 1 (Semesters 1, 2, and 3)
      * For accelerated classes of 6 semesters, upload academic report documents for Grade X Semester 3, and Grade XI Semesters 1 and 2 (Semester 3, 4, and 5)
  8. Enter a maximum of 3 best achievements in the field of academics, sports, arts, and religion during Senior High School/Vocational High School/Islamic High School (if available) with the following requirements:
    1. International Level (First Place, Second Place, Third Place, First Runner-Up, Second Runner-Up, Third Runner-Up, Participant)
    2. National Level (First Place, Second Place, Third Place, First Runner-Up, Second Runner-Up, Third Runner-Up, Participant)
    3. Regional/Provincial/City/Regency Level (First Place, Second Place, Third Place, First Runner-Up, Second Runner-Up, Third Runner-Up, Participant)
    4. Hafizh Al-Quran (5 Juz, 10 Juz, 20 Juz, 30 Juz)
  9. Select the desired study program based on the requirements in section II;
  10. Upload the following accompanying documents for the registration:
    1. Personal photo according to requirements (personal photo, applicant is allowed to change the photo if needed);
    2. Report cards per semester;
    3. Diploma/Notice of Graduation;
    4. ID Card (KTP)/Family Card (KK);
    5. Achievement certificates;
    6. Agree to the statement of data entry and finalize the registration;
  11. Print out the admissions applicant card;
  12. Registration for admissions by academic report scores can be performed multiple times, using different accounts for each.
